Resumes
You've
worked hard -- and smart. And it's paid off. You're
consistently one of the top sales performers in your
branch, and maybe even in the entire company.
Maybe you're #1, or maybe you've taken your territory
from #32 to #15. Maybe you've even started a brand new
territory and built it to a $3 million a year sales
volume.
Yet,
chances are, none of this is reflected on your current
resume.
One
of my clients (a top sales performer) came to me because
he had sent out dozens of resumes and couldn't understand
why he had gotten very little response from prospective
employers, and none from any employment agencies. He
had this job description on his self-written resume:
"Responsible for sales, customer service and territory
management." He didn't bother to list any achievements
because he didn't want to be perceived as bragging.
He also thought he could cover his accomplishments when
he got to the interview...except he didn't get that
opportunity because the recruiters didn't see anything
on his resume that told them he was a mover and a shaker.
During
our consultation, I asked him some very pointed questions,
which revealed the following:
-
He had established and built a new territory from
$0 to $5 million in annual sales within
3 years of joining the company.
- He
currently ranked #1 in sales volume in the entire
company, outperforming 347 other sales professionals
across the country.
- He
had played a key role in taking his branch from #12
to #2 nationally, outperforming branches in much
larger cities.
Now
imagine the impact of this new information on recruiters
and potential employers. If you think he immediately
became a hot commodity, you're right. In fact, he had
2 interviews lined up within hours of receiving his
new High Impact Resume, and 3 more within the next 48
hours. Two of these were with recruiters who had previously
not even responded to his application. Can you imagine
how thrilled he was? And how much better he felt about
himself?
Unfortunately,
we see this type of thing all the time. The fact
is that many self-written and low-cost "professional"
resumes cannot possibly compete in today's competitive
job market because they are missing the most important
content.
The
good news is that if your resume is not getting you
the interviews you deserve, you can probably do better.
All you need is a high impact resume.
At
High Impact Resumes, we've helped nearly a thousand
sales professionals to move forward with their careers.
We have a reputation for creating powerful resumes
that position our clients for success. In fact, we've
had thousands of referrals from clients and recruiters
over the last 18 years, due to the exceptional nature
of our product.
What
makes us different?
- We
are knowledgeable professionals who know what it takes
to create a high impact sales resume. In fact,
our head resume writer, Julie Marseu (B.Sc.), is an
experienced recruiter and a former employment agency
owner, who has interviewed over 10,000 people and
authored more than 8,000 resumes, as well as numerous
marketing pieces. She has also worked as a Major Account
Executive with an industry leader, and knows what
to focus on to impress sales recruiters and prospective
employers!
- We
invest the time needed to produce a truly outstanding
product. Unlike many of our competitors, who rely
on their clients to fill out a questionnaire,
we brainstorm with our clients for an average of 2
hours each to uncover their most impressive sales
achievements! Then we put many more hours into writing
and crafting each resume, until it passes both your
approval and our high quality standards! Why do we
spent so much time developing content? Because
a resume that's missing or underselling important
accomplishments cannot possibly compete successfully
in today's highly competitive job market.
If
your resume is not giving you the results you'd like,
maybe it's time to take action. Why not start the ball
rolling today?
